VINTAGE MOTORCAR RESTORATIONS, LLC
The roots of VMR go back to the early 1970’s when founder Ray Morgan, an accomplished engineer and automotive enthusiast, began what was then simply a maintenance shop for European sports cars. Soon a customer convinced Morgan to restore a 1968 Porsche 912. Fresh paint, some rust repair, an interior and headliner, engine work and a thorough undercarriage detailing lay the foundation for what was destined to become one of the south’s most recognized restoration facilities for automotive Marques far beyond those of Teutonic heritage.
Best known for award winning restorations and preservation of the Porsche 356, VMR has demonstrated its expertise by expanding from the German Porsche to the Italian Ferrari, from the archaic Morgan to the venerable Triumph, from the limited production Weymann bodied Stutz to the glorious American classic Packard, and from pre-war race car competition to the highly contested sportsracer field.
Our project examples surpass the expectations of our customers simply because we do it right. We research each car before we begin and maintain a level of perfection that has established Vintage Motorcar Restorations as the standard of quality, reliability, and professionalism among car enthusiasts. Whether competing in a Concours d’Elegance or road racing a vintage circuit, winners come from VMR.
